There is no such thing as true Socalism. Karl Marx's theory is aliken to the Flat Earth Theory. It looks fine on paper but it does not, that needs repeating, does not work. It is hard enough in a free and open society to controll greed, coruption, and the lust for power. In a socialist society those checks and balances are not there. People will say "that is not true", eventhough every experiment with socialism has failed (some are still hanging on, barley). The Soviet Union failed, China is slowly moving toward a market based society, Cuba is a shamble, Vietnam is just as corroupt now as it was when we left, North Korea, well all we can do is feel very sorry for the people who got stuck there, France finally woke up from their slumber and got rid of the socialists government, although they still have awful reminders of it, The English medical system is a desaster and Canadas' is not far behind. If you are a freeloader, these countries are perfect for you, but if you need medical help, where do you come, The United States. Our medical system is not perfect by a far cry but it is the best in the world. More advancement has occured in The United States than all the world combined. This is not bosting, it is a fact. This country has a lot of faults and we are working on them. There are those of you who say "the United States did this in the 1800 or did that in the 1900, they killed these people or those people. Well get over it else I will remind you of what the English, French, Spanish, Jananeese, Chineese, Norweigens, Germans, Persians, Italians, Greeks, Russians and not to forget the various tribes in Africa who sold their own people into salvery, All the countries of the world have their shame but the one shame no person on earth should have to endure is Socialism which is a half step above Nationalsozialist (NAZI), which, to all our shame, is still alive and kicking. So if you still think that true Socalism is so great, look around and tell me WHERE IS IT, but keep thinking and LISTEN WHAT THEY SAY .........................................................................................................................didyoulisiten
Peace and tolerance are wonderful things. What I don't understand is the people who benefit from our choice, over a long period of very hard times which saw a lot of intolerance, I admit but in the end it was our (and I emphases) our choice to be that way, are the same ones that want to change or even destroy the country and ideology that made sustained tolerance possible. The greatest threat we face as a people today, with "globalization" of the economy, which is a good thing, more products, more money ect., is the destruction of the idea and principles that has made us a free and open society, is from within. We have documents that prescribe certain guide lines, guide is the key word, for the function and operation of the government. That is also why there is separation of the governmental bodies with specific duties. In order to change these documents, it requires all of these bodies to agree. Checks and Balances. These documents also set specific areas of responsibility for the Federal and State Governments. Most state documents break that down into state and local responsibilities. Over the past few years, we have seen the Federal Government assume a greater and more active intrusion into the state and local responsibilities. This has led to the individual personal responsibility, to be assumed by the Federal Government. This has lead too the loss of personal freedom, which means OUR CHOICE, OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR OURSELVES. Don't mistake this as a racists or anti-semitic feeling or statement. On the contrary, "WE THE PEOPLE" means just that, the people, whole but individuals. There is a very old saying, "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink." When the Federal/Central government gets so big and starts to usurp the free choice and responsibility of the individual, there is unrest with the individual and the individuals as a whole. This inevitability leads to a revolt against against the "Powers that Be". This is true in all forms of governmental ideologies, Capitalistic, Socialistic, Democratic Socialists, Marxism, Fascism, Monarchies, Constitutional Monarchies and the list goes on and on. Countries or States, whichever the case may be, which employed these governmental ideologies and then proceeded to subjugate the individual or the whole, usually under the pretext of "For the Good of All the People", have eventually been overthrown by the people. Most of the time the NEW government is the same or worse than the former. This is usually due to the leader the people chose to follow, however, this is not always the case. There have been numerous good leaders who have been removed, one way or another, by people around him/her that they thought were just as passionate about freedom as they were. When this happens, the people are usually so weary from fighting for their freedom, all they want is a little peace for a little while. This is the biggest mistake they could ever make. What was the point of fighting, in the first place, only to have a bad government replaced by another bad government. We have excellent examples of this in the 20/21'st century. This is not a phenomenon that is isolated to countries with under educated peoples either. Notice I said UNDER educated. I do not equate intelligent educated people with "Formal type Education" (formal schooling), necessarily, which by the way, should be used only to accelerate the learning process, and not indoctrinate the individual into an ideology. When Physiological/Philosophical Theories are taught as "FACT", this is indoctrination , Marxism and Socialism are two of the best examples of this happening, neither are Peaceful nor Tolerant, yet people who profess peace and tolerance usually praise these Theories as the glories of mankind. Peace and tolerance can not be achieved when the choice and the choice of tolerance of the individual is infringed upon by people or state who are intolerant to the choice of the individual as too whether they choose to be tolerant or not. This holds true and applies to the individuals. Restriction on an individual by another individual/individuals due only to his/her, whatever it maybe, is no different than if the state or country did this. "Political Correctness" is NOT tolerance. Infringement upon a definition or terminology used to define the parameters of a particular issue used in or to define an individual/individuals belief structure, is not tolerance, that is "Political Correctness". Stating that this definition/terminology is intolerant is in itself intolerance to the individual/individuals choice of their belief structure. This definition should not be used by a state/country to restrict others rights or their belief structure, however, the state/country does not have the right to change nor modify this definition/terminology. This also must be a choice by the individual/individuals as they see fit over the course of time. "Political Correctness" is an attempt to Force this change too happen. Political correctness is not a new concept either. This is the current terminology used to describe the molding or shaping of individual ideas or beliefs by those who have a particular agenda to meet. It is a less extreme form of "Brainwashing" (to use a terminology from another time). Both of these are contrary to freedom and freedom of choice. They are used quite effectively in uncontrolled and unrestricted big government. They are used to compel subservience upon the individual/individuals with the ultimate goal of subjugating the individual/individuals. They are used forcefully most of the time but usually they begin very discretely especially when they are used upon a free and open society. The larger the Federal/Central governing body is, the harder it is to recognize or change/prevent this when it is recognized. This is why I say that the greatest threat to this country today is from within. These thing do not occur from without. This would be viewed by the governing body as a threat to their rule/control as a whole and would be vigorously opposed by them. This is not to say that some/someone within the governing body were not complicit in the effort. Vigilance and a determination to limit the size and power of the Federal/Central Government is an essential part of ensuring a free society where there are choices for the individual and the free choice of toleration by the individual. ...............................................................................................................didyoulisiten .................................................................................................... This is a message I sent to irishtrotskyist, on You Tube, in response to a question he ask me: what's your opinion on free market capitalism/neo-liberalism. My response to him scared me so much, (that "IT CAME OUT OF MY HEAD"), that I thought I would share it with those who happen to pass by this page. Reply: Have you been able to make any sense of what I wrote. ("Bull Shit" wasn't it?) That is what Physiological/Philosophical Theories are.(Those who defend or try to justify them, usually teach them(their money source). British Conservative Political and Economic Theories align themselves more with "Liberal Theories(Democrat)" in the "U.S"., not "Conservative" in the "U.S", neither of which I totally agree with. That is where the problem BEGINS. No one on this planet believes totally in one specific theory or philosophy(unless it benefits them either socially or economically). You are an example of contradiction. You say, "I am a Marxist", but "you support free speech". Yet a quote from your page, you use: freedom of the press means: freedom to buy up newspapers, to buy writer's, to bribe, buy and fake public opinion': P Vladimir Lenin. Freedom of the Press, however is FREE SPEECH in it's highest form, therefore You do not support all THE THEORIES OF KARL MARX totally(contradiction). I am not trying to use this against you but only to show you that if you confine yourself to that SMALL box of a theory or pursuit of a theory, then they have you. Believing in something is relative to the person, the time, the place. You have to ask yourself: I am "X" age now. I am in "X" place in "X" time, "WHAT DO I BELIEVE?". Previously at "X" age and given the "X ("place, time at that moment"), "WHAT DID I BELIEVE?" Using the same formula for FUTURE, (which no one can predict), "WHAT WILL I BELIEVE?" The latter being purely a supposition on your part.(GOD! that was heavy,"SUPPOSITION". Not bad for a backwoods country farm boy) Getting to heavily involved in some Physiological or Philosophical Theory and forgetting to LIVE YOUR life is the most detrimental thing anyone can do to themselves. HELL! Lighten up and have fun. NOTE:As for what I(F-word) think about free-market capitalism/neo-liberalism doesn't mean CRAP. It's what YOU think that is important to you. YOU don't need MY shitty input or anyone else's.
